Crossbar

Pass, make space and finish a quick three-a-side football match.

guidesView Game Page →Last updated 2026-10-17

Play a 90-second match of three-a-side football. The gold ring marks your selected blue player. Attack the goal on the right.

Play

  • Arrows / WASD - run
  • Space - pass or switch player
  • X - shoot / tackle
  • C (hold) - sprint
  • Tab - switch player
  • 1 / 2 / 3 - choose a blue player
  • P - pause
  • R - resume
  • N - play again

A pass travels across the pitch and can be intercepted. Control follows its receiver. Hold Up or Down while shooting to aim toward a corner. Sprint spends stamina; ease off to recover. Pitch edges rebound the ball to keep play moving.

Score

Goals decide who wins. Each goal also earns 200 points, a completed pass 10 and a successful tackle 20. Goal celebrations pause the match clock. These are local practice scores; this release has no global leaderboard or multiplayer.

A helper on your live pitch

Your terminal and game share one board from launch. nano helper.sh edits the saved starter; ./helper.sh & runs it while you play. The starter requests sprinting; you steer and pass. jobs lists helpers; stop releases helper inputs. Ctrl+C interrupts a foreground program. Your edited files survive re-entry. benchmark explicitly opens separate repeatable practice with GIF, replay and receipt exports; standard restores the same paused live match.

nano helper.sh
./helper.sh &
jobs
stop

Keep steering and passing while the helper runs. Manual keys and scripts use the same commands. You can replace the sprint request with teammate orders or decisions based on scan ball and scan players.

Sharing and practice

Saved files survive leaving and returning. Use the shared Git and forge tools to review changes, record a version and contribute with credit. Preserve the source author and license when adapting someone else's script. See the terminal workspace guide.

benchmark opens separate deterministic practice. Its policy.sh starter uses bounded simulation ticks and exports GIF, replay and receipt evidence. standard restores your paused live match. Live helpers use delay for time; live wait joins jobs.

Use man crossbar for the command reference, or play Crossbar.
