Keys & Hidden Unlocks
How earned keys reveal commands, themes, shells, rooms, and hidden game modes
Keys & Hidden Unlocks
Keys are permanent achievements that also open parts of CLI-Games. A key can unlock a command, theme, shell, room, or game mode. The keyring tells you that an unlock exists without naming hidden content before you find it.
Follow a Key
keys— list the keys you hold
keyring examine <key-id>— inspect one key and see how many direct unlocks it has
keys undiscovered— see how many keys remain at each rarity without revealing their names
When a newly earned key opens a game mode, that mode appears in the game's own control picker. Start with the game rather than looking for a separate catalog entry: hidden modes deliberately do not advertise themselves there.
Hidden modes are unranked. They can still appear in the public activity panel after somebody finishes one, which is the clue—not the solution.
Try It
Run keys, choose one you earned, then run keyring examine <key-id>. If it
reports an unlock, revisit the command, theme picker, shell picker, or game that
earned it.
