Lamplight
Three little rooms. Every step is yours.
Lamplight
Move the green lantern bearer to the brass key, then the glowing stairs. The first room is safe. Boots in room two unlock a two-cell sprint; a flask in room three unlocks healing. Collect shards and sharper blades along the way.
Sentinels warn before striking, and nothing moves until you act. Step away, strike first or undo a mistake—even after defeat. Reach the third exit to win. A direct route is quick; collecting everything takes more thought.
First moves
Arrows or WASD to move and strike. U to undo.
After finding boots, press Space, then any arrow to choose the sprint direction.
A red warning means an adjacent strike on the next turn. Move away or finish the sentinel.
Keys reset in each room. Your gear and score carry forward.
Run and score
Reaching the stairs in room three wins the expedition. The maximum score is 1,180: three room exits at 200, four shards at 100, and six sentinels at 30. All three layouts permit the full score. There is no time or health bonus, and undo restores the previous score along with the room.
Write your own approach
Launch lamplight --script, then run ./rooms-v3.sh. Copy it to a new file before editing. The same commands drive manual and programmed play.
Type script to open the saved-script workspace, or launch with --script. Copy the supplied starter with cp, edit it with nano, then use chmod +x to make your copy executable. Run it with ./your-file.sh. fixtures selects a repeatable layout; standard returns to manual play. Stop cancels a running script. gif and receipt export local practice evidence. Your saved files survive re-entry. These runs do not submit ranked scores.
