Termiclanker

Learn Bash by scripting a robot

What's the difference between an unstoppable killing machine and a useless pile of scrap metal? A brain.

Meet Termiclanker — hull designation KLNK-1 — a devastatingly obedient robot kitted out with powerful hardware it doesn't know how to operate. Help Termiclanker learn to navigate simple obstacles, defend itself from attack, and react to the world in real time.

Throughout each level you will add simple improvements to Termiclanker's firmware and build an increasingly capable robot — all in real Bash. Graduate from defense to attack, cut through enemy forces in hostile environments, and relentlessly pursue your target. The scripts you write can be saved, shared, upgraded, and applied at any level.

Out in the wild, all scripts will fail Termiclanker eventually — iterate and try again!
